• Overall, Dr. Matthew Clark's passion is to help the LGBT Community with their mental health, social, educational, and success needs.

• He is grateful for the support groups that the LGBT Network provides to the community.

• His mission is helping LGBT people who come from Conservative Christian backgrounds. He is active in Gays in Faith Together (Gift) and the Gay Christian? Yes! Campaign here in Grand Rapids. He is active at Mars Hill Bible Church and attends many LGBT Conferences including ones offered by the Gay Christian Network, Affirmations in Ferndale, and Room for All.

• He joined the Network Board to help strengthen the community relations with the Network. He would like to help form a stronger bond amongst groups in the community such as GIFT, G-Summit, and LGBT spiritual and secular groups with the Network. He is also supporter of the creation and sustainment of a Grand Rapids PFLAGG Group.

• He plans on filming a documentary on the topic of Gay Christians. He has been meeting with people in the community as to how to make this happen. He has been interviewed on local television shows on Gay Teen Suicide, Gay Bullying, and How Lesbian Moms ROCK!
